Nine Pin’s Own Alcohol-free offerings, Paired with Wellness Events to Start the New Year Revitalized
Nine Pin Ciderworks, New York State’s first farm cidery, now celebrating their 10th year, is supporting wellness this month during “Dry January.”
Nine Pin’s recent expansions have made it possible to create new and innovative products, including a line of non-alcoholic beverages. And consistent with its mission, Nine Pin crafts these products to support New York Agriculture and to celebrate the locally sourced ingredients from farms across the state.
Maple Cream Soda features maple syrup from the Forest Farmers in Lyon Mountain, NY. Cherry Vanilla Spritzer includes cherries from Bittner-Singer Orchards in Appleton, NY. Apple Fizz highlights apples from Samascott Orchards in Kinderhook, NY. And Sparkling Hibiscus Tea is crafted in partnership with Short and Stout Tea Co. based in Albany, NY.
Many have new wellness goals for the new year, and Nine Pin wants to help. They’ll kick off the month with a financial wellness event, Nine Pin and Planning, on Thursday, January 4, 2024 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. by hosting Attorney Morgen Bowers from Four Corners Legacy Law for a free cider tasting and educational Estate Planning presentation. This will be a fun, interactive presentation to destigmatize the assumed complicated estate planning process and share some basic information about what estate planning includes, and why it’s important for everyone, regardless of age. Admission is free, and includes a cider tasting, light snacks, a gift card raffle, and a special gift valued at $1,000. Registration is requested through Eventbrite. This event is currently sold out, but there is a waitlist.
Next, they’ll host Manifest & Mimosas on Saturday, January 6, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Patrons are invited to proclaim their new goals for 2024 by creating a personal vision board while enjoying a cider mimosa. Nine Pin will have vision board supplies, but participants are encouraged to bring some of their own (and clean out that old pile of magazines!) or additional inspiration images to help bring the vision board to life. This event is free, but registration is requested on Eventbrite. This event is also sold out, but interested attendees are encouraged to sign up for the waitlist.
The following day will feature Yoga at Stretch & Sip on Sunday, January 7, 2024 from noon to 1:00 p.m. Participants can bring their own mat or props and sip a cider while focusing on full body wellness. Tickets are available on Eventbrite.
“The new year always brings a lot of motivation to begin the year refreshed,” said Alejandro del Peral, co-founder and cidermaker, “and we wanted to help our loyal cider-lovers in those endeavors. Wellness doesn’t just mean eating healthy, or watching calories, so we’re happy to partner this year with Four Corners Legacy Law to help bring people more information to inform their whole lives, and not just what’s on their plate or at the gym.”
Cider connoisseurs may enjoy Nine Pin’s ciders seven days a week in their Albany Tasting Room, located in the City’s Warehouse district, and from retailers across New York State, Massachusetts and New Jersey, as well as at bars and restaurants who proudly carry Nine Pin products. Residents in other states may purchase Nine Pin’s ciders through Nine Pin’s online store.
